The Hiking Club is returning May 2019 after a winter hiatus. Interested in leading a hike? We’re looking for a 2019 season hike leader! Please let us know if you’re interested.

Each month, hikers gather inside the Flow Motion lobby at 8am for an 8:10am departure. Hikes are either Saturdays or Sundays. Check our online class calendar page for the current month’s hike. Participants carpool to the trail head in their own vehicles.

Community Centered 

You don’t need to be a studio member to participate in The Hiking Club! We love gathering our local community and hosting different activities. Please note: Hiking Club participants must be over 18. And while we LOVE animals, we ask that you please leave pets at home.

What to Expect

The Hiking Club is a great way to get outside and get moving. We select different trails each month that would be considered hikes that get your heart rate up, work your muscles, and would not be considered just long walks. Hikes may range from short morning hikes to all-day hikes. Please take your fitness or ability level into consideration before each hike, which will be posted each month on our Flow Motion Family Facebook page. Some hikes have a long drive to the trailhead.

After each hike, we stop for a bite to eat, warm-up (or cool-down), and socialize a bit before heading back, so don’t forget a little pocket change. We try to pick a little place that’s along the drive back to support local restaurateurs.

Discovery and Adventure 

In the Hiking Club, you’ll explore local trails toward Mt. Baker & the Chuckanuts, through local forests and sanctuaries featuring beautiful views and wildlife. It’s the perfect way to have some outdoor fun and get an ion-bath from Mother Nature.

When you’re here, make sure to check out all our studio amenities with a quick tour before we leave for our hike. Set aside a day for recovery following your hiking adventure with our studio Day Pass. Our yoga students love to reserve the Infrared Therapy Sauna to relax and restore tired muscles. You can also enjoy a visit to the Zero Gravity Massage Lounge or attend a restorative Yin Yoga class.

  • Anyone over 18 is welcome to join!

By participating in The Hiking Club, you accept responsibility for your own safety, trail preparedness, fitness & ability level. 

Requirements

Please have the following items packed in your day pack and ready for each hike:

Day pack, trekking poles, extra water, raincoat, sunscreen, packed lunch, snacks, weather appropriate clothing for layering, proper foot ware, good socks, first aid items, and anything else you feel you may need.

An RSVP is required so that we can plan accordingly. If there are 3 RSVP’s or less by 8pm the evening before the hike, the hike will be cancelled for that month and RSVP’d participants will be notified via email.
