massage & energy healing
Swedish massage relaxes the body and reduces muscle tension, but it also oxygenates the blood, helps the lymph system remove toxins, improves circulation and increases muscle range and flexibility. Optional essential oils can be added to any massage by request.
Reflexology is an art & science based on the principle that there are microcosms (mini-maps) of the entire body mirrored on the feet, hands, and ears. Pressure applied to specific points on these maps improves circulation, promotes natural balance within the body, soothes the nervous system, and reduces stress.
Gentle reflexology methods initiate deep relaxation. Reflex points are worked & areas of discomfort, pain, and tension in the body are identified.
Your reflexology practitioner gently illuminates the story within your feet, guiding your body toward subconscious attunement. You’ll feel intuitively connected- open to your body’s messages and in sync to its needs.
Your body holds the answers to your health issues. Your reflexology practitioner opens the door for your healing to happen by triggering an organic, self-healing physiological process.
The ARōMATOUCH® Technique is a relaxing application of eight essential oils selected for their individual aromatic properties in blends that address four systemic constants: stress, toxic insult, inflammation, and autonomic imbalance. Using a combination of reflexology techniques to connect to every system and organ of the body, all of the physical health benefits of the essential oils are absorbed during your 45-minute session. The oils are applied to the back, neck, head, ears, and bottoms of the feet, stimulating the known meridian & energy zones of the body. After your session, enjoy complimentary hot tea or refreshing spring water while surrounded by the layers of aromatherapy that built in the room during your session.
Vibrational Sound Therapy
Vibrational Sound Therapy (VST) is a gentle modality that activates the parasympathetic nervous system through vibration and rich sound with a multitude of overtones, thus reducing stress in the body. Gentle waves of vibration undulate through the body (composed of about 75% water) in an organized geometric pattern through the tissues, gently massaging the body’s cells. Deep relaxation is quickly reached and this space is where your body begins to heal.
Gentle vibration coxes imbalances in the body to return to a more harmonized state of being, much like the healing vibrational purr of a cat. It isn’t uncommon to physically feel better or to have old emotional traumas released.
Therapeutic singing bowls of various sizes, hertz, and subdued volume that have been crafted specifically for vibrational resonance, are placed on or around the body. Soft mallets are used so as not to disrupt the fluctuations of brainwave patterns most will slip into.
During the session, time slows or seems to disappear, physical space dissolves, and yet your energy flow is stimulated with mental freshness and awakened senses promoting natural healing, leaving you comforted with a sense of natural well-being. VST can help us be internally aware, present in the moment, and better connected to our relationships and surroundings.
Reiki energy healing
Reiki is an Eastern energy healing method that supports the body’s natural ability to heal. The word reiki is a Japanese term meaning “guided life force energy.” Reiki can shift this energy into balance so that our immune system can keep us healthy and help us heal faster. Reiki is one of several therapies based on the bio field, or a type of energy field that regulates everything from our cellular function to our nervous system. Reiki sessions can differ from session to session. Some people simply rest and relax while others feel different sensations from the energy shifts. Your practitioner’s hands are placed on or above the energy centers, or chakras, of the body.
The beta brainwave pattern is seen when a person is actively thinking and problem solving. These brainwaves are associated with concentration, cognition, and alertness. In prolonged states of the highest levels, negative effects have been associated with anxiety and unease.
The alpha brainwave pattern is associated with rest and reflection. Breathing slows and the body begins to relax. These patterns occur when you’re calm and relaxed, going about daily activities.
The theta brainwave pattern is associated with meditation and deep relaxation. The body begins to repair itself and the immune system is at its best. Meditative states have been shown to increase the threshold for emotional response, helping us with outside influences. Muscles lose tension and the body is enveloped in a feeling of comfort and warmth.
The delta brainwave is associated with a deeper sleep. With progressive sessions, the deeper brainwave patterns are achieved quicker and last longer through a practiced relaxation response.
